Win customers with your business stories
Web businesses are built on stories.
Big stories and little stories, on homepages, About pages, sales pages and blogs.
Stories that show off your expertise, sell products and services, and persuade visitors that you can make their lives better.
But finding the right words isn’t easy. When you already spend so much time running your business, writing for your website becomes a burden.
I created Copy Hive to ease that burden. Small changes to your web words can have big results. My goal with this blog is to provide tips, ideas and templates so you can make your site sparkle without slaving for hours. And so you can find and tell stories to engage potential customers.
Your business stories deserve to be heard
“I absolutely love what you’ve done with Peter’s website, especially the homepage. It’s so different to what anyone else in the network is doing and it feels really fresh. I find it really convincing, well structured and there are plenty of well-placed calls to action. Bravo!”
(Angela Greenwood, Head of Digital Marketing, Mortgage Choice)
“Richard knows how to tell a good story and how to choose the right words to engage readers. But what I like even more is that he’s focused on the business purpose of each piece of content. Would you like to persuade more web visitors to buy from you? I highly recommend you talk to Richard.“
(Henneke Duistermaat, Founder, Enchanting Marketing)
About Richard Padgett
I grew up in Leicestershire, a rural county in the heart of England, where I spent many happy childhood days whacking cricket balls and chasing footballs, pretending to be David Gower or Bryan Robson.
After university, I trained as a newspaper journalist. I wanted to learn about life, I wanted to break stories, and I wanted to be sports editor of a daily paper. And that’s exactly what I did.
But then my life changed, in a big way.
Shortly after our second child was born, my wife and I decided to move our little family to the other side of the world, to a new life in Australia. I swapped newspapers for nappies as a stay-at-home dad, and I loved every minute (even the stinky ones).
In between ferrying my two daughters to kindergarten, I retrained as an online copywriter. I learned how to craft copy to engage, to persuade, and to sell.
Researching and writing gives me the same buzz as it did when I was a reporter. Only now I get to tell stories that help people build businesses.
That’s my story…
…I’d love to hear yours.
